Who are 1st Aid Repairs?

We’re thrilled to be working with 1st Aid Repairs, one of the UK’s leading camera repair shops. 1st Aid Repairs came to us for help with boosting inbound leads for camera repairs and establishing authority on Google.

After creating an executing an SEO campaign for their site, 1st Aid Repairs are now ranking 1st for many key search keywords and enquiries are up by over 200%. They are even ranking above the official Panasonic website for Panasonic camera repairs!

The back story:

1st Aid Repairs approached us for our SEO services because they were in need of help attracting the right type of customers to their website and increasing the number of leads through the site. They were getting some leads, but these were mainly unqualified and often time-wasters.

After undertaking a site audit, we realised the 1st Aid Repairs website was ranking no.1 for monitor repairs. This was unprofitable for their business as they do not specialise in low-end monitor repairs and were therefore not attracting the right people.

Following the site audit, we were able to identify lack of keyword optimisation, content gaps and a weakness with site authority. From there, we were able to formulate an SEO strategy to fix these issues.

The SEO strategy:

The first step was to undertake detailed keyword and competitive analysis to figure out where competing websites were ranking and what we could do to bring 1st Aid Repairs up to the same level, and eventually be better.

Keyword research is the foundation of any SEO strategy, and competition analysis helps you to identify opportunities that will drive business from your competitors, to you. By figuring out where competitors were ranking and 1st Aid Repairs were not, we could begin to fine tune on-pages optimisation and create high-quality, authoritative content that will rank.

Next up, we built key landing pages so we could begin attracting the right type of customers for niche search terms and niche customer requirements. This meant that 1st Aid Repairs were less likely to rank for monitor repairs, which was a time and money waster for the company, and rank higher for camera repair-related searches, which is what pays the bills.

We also worked on enhancing their internal linking structure, improved relevance to the site as well as focusing on conversion. Pages that rank well are no good if they do not convert into enquiries or sales.

Finally, another crucial factor in establishing authority in Google is building trust. This is also a major conversion factor. We worked with 1st Aid Repairs to create a clearer image of the high level of service and knowhow they offer to potential customers. Their expertise is now showcased at the forefront of the website.

We also placed an emphasis on GoogleMyBusiness to highlight local customer reviews and testimonies, which further builds trust and customer loyalty.

The results:

The results speak for themselves. Through building a strong website with a solid foundation of SEO keyword research and specially optimised content, 1st Aid Repairs have achieved some first-class results (even during the coronavirus pandemic!) They now rank as follows:

  • 17 x position 1 rankings
  • 37 x top 3 rankings
  • 1st for Panasonic camera repairs (above Panasonic themselves!)
  • 1st for Lumix camera repair (above Panasonic themselves!)
  • 1st for Pentax camera repairs (above Pentax!)
  • 1st  for camera repair lens
  • 1st for camcorder repair
  • 1st camcorder repair uk
  • 1st for 8mm camera repair
  • 2nd for lcd screen repair
  • 3rd for Olympus camera repairs (just below both Olympus websites)
  • 4th for Canon camera repair
  • 948 keywords ranked versus just 168 at the start of the project

Adrian Fermor, owner of 1st Air Repairs commented: “We have thoroughly enjoyed working with Matt and his Team at Grasshopper. Their enthusiasm for our business is incredible, and through many relaxed conversations about our business, they pick out what is important, and build very focussed responses to our requirements. They have met every target we have presented to them, and helped us beyond our expectations, developing new ideas, and further targets on a regular basis.
